Edward P. Link
Edward
P. Link has more than 40 years of industrial experience
as Engineer, Manager and Consultant. Nearly all
of his corporate career assignments were devoted
to Quality Engineering and Quality Management
assignments at large companies manufacturing copiers,
medical products and photographic products. He
has extensive experience as a Lead Assessor. As
a Quality consultant with more than ten years
experience in that role he has assisted both large
and small companies and corporations through training,
development and implementation of quality systems
and SPC.
His
published manuals, QP for ISO 9000:1994, QP
for ISO 9001:2000, QP
for AS9100B, and QP for QS-9000, have
found wide acceptance throughout industry and
particularly with quality professionals dedicated
to continuous process improvement and seeking
to abbreviate the lengthy documentation efforts
required for quality management system certification.
Mr. Link’s emphasis on the reduction of variation
in these manuals is rooted in his exposure to
the teachings of both Dr. W Edwards Deming and
Dr. Genichi Taguchi. The pocket guide series written
by Mr. Link, An Audit
of the System, not
of the People ,
has rapidly become the most sought after for AS9100C,
AS9110,
ISO
9001:2008 ,
ISO
13485:2003, ISO
14001:2004 , ISO
22000:2005,
ISO/TS
16949:2009, and OHSAS
18001:2007. The popularity of these guides
can be traced back to the original guide written
for ISO 9000:1994. It was also true for any of
the predecessors written for the above mentioned
guides. For example, ISO9001:2000
and AS9100B

Mr.
Link's formal education includes a BS in electrical
engineering and MS in mathematical and applied
statistics both from Rochester Institute of
Technology. As a consultant and instructor
of ISO 9000 related topics and in statistical
